SkinLattice (“SkinLattice,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) is operated by SkinLattice. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the controls you have over your data when you use the SkinLattice iOS application (“App”).

SkinLattice is a personal tracking tool. It is not a medical device and does not diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any skin condition. Any patterns or correlations shown in the App are derived from your own logs and should not be interpreted as medical advice.

What data we collect

All data you enter into SkinLattice is stored on your device by default. This includes:

• Daily skin check-ins — breakout, redness, and comfort ratings you log each day.
• Product and routine logs — products you add to your shelf and routines you record (AM/PM).
• Ingredient data — ingredients associated with products you log.
• Lifestyle context — optional tags such as sleep quality, stress, travel, or cycle-related notes that you choose to attach to a log.
• Optional photos — photos you capture within the App are stored locally in the device's Application Support directory.
• Optional weather context — if enabled, weather values such as humidity, UV index, and temperature can be linked to your check-ins for data enrichment.

How we use your data

Your logged data is processed on-device to compute the personal Ingredient Matrix — correlations between ingredients, products, and your skin check-in ratings. This processing does not require a network connection and does not transmit your data to our servers.

We use correlation analysis to surface patterns. These patterns show statistical associations between variables in your own logs. They do not prove causation and should not replace advice from a qualified dermatologist or healthcare provider.

Optional features

Weather enrichment

If you enable weather context, SkinLattice uses location and weather signals to enrich your own logs while keeping the experience privacy-first. Weather context is optional and can be disabled at any time in the app.

Your data controls

You have full control over your data:

• Backup — you can create and keep backups of your app data.
• Account and data deletion — you can permanently delete your account data.
• Opt-outs — you can opt out of optional features and data uses within the app settings.

Cookies

Our website uses essential cookies only. These cookies are needed for core site functionality and security. We do not use advertising cookies.

App Store subscriptions

SkinLattice offers an optional Pro subscription through Apple's App Store at $5.99 USD/month or $34.99 USD/year (subject to Apple pricing changes). Subscription billing is managed entirely by Apple. SkinLattice does not process or store your payment information. For billing questions, cancellations, or refunds, please contact Apple Support or manage your subscription through your Apple ID settings.

Data security

Your data is stored locally using SwiftData on your iOS device. Backup files are AES-GCM encrypted before leaving your device. While we take reasonable precautions to protect your data within the App, the security of your device and Apple ID account is your responsibility.

Children and age suitability

SkinLattice is intended for users aged 13 and older. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has used the App, please contact us through the protected email link in the contact section below so we can take appropriate action.

Processors and sharing

SkinLattice does not use third-party data processors for your personal app data and does not sell, rent, or share your personal data with advertisers or data brokers.

Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you by updating this page and the effective date at the top of this policy. Continued use of the App after changes take effect constitutes your acceptance of the revised policy.
